There are many timeout configuration for grub2 that you can put in /etc/default/grub
GRUB_TIMEOUT GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT GRUB_RECORDFAIL_TIMEOUT
The last one may help to boot normally in case power loss.
Also try FSCKFIX in /etc/default/rcS :)
